About 500 travellers had to spend overnight Tuesday at Chicago’s O’Hare International, the second busiest airport in the United States, after stormy weather cancelled more than 500 flights Tuesday, said Chicago Aviation Department spokeswoman Karen Pride. More than 100 flights were cancelled at O’Hare on Wednesday.
Travelers to San Francisco were warned that arriving flights could be delayed up to one hour and 47 minutes because of strong winds.

Mark Everett born as Manuel Benitez, was a former American child actor in Hollywood films. He was a fugitive wanted by the FBI for the bludgeoning murder of Stephanie Spears in Hawthorne in 2004. He was reported shot and killed by police officers responding to a hostage situation in El Monte, California on Wednesday.
Everett was killed after a 2-hour standoff as he held his 7-year-old son hostage in a restaurant, the authorities said. The boy was reported wounded.

Wal-Mart agreed Tuesday to pay as much as $640 million to settle allegations that the company didn’t pay workers for overtime or let them take breaks.
The world’s largest retailer, which has more than 1.4 million employees, said the amount it pays will depend on how many claims are submitted by eligible workers and could range from $352 million to $640 million.

After three years, Snowzilla’s gone.
According to Anchorage Daily News, Municipal officials have put an end to Snowzilla– the16-plus-foot-tall giant snowman Billy Ray Powers built.
Anchorage enforcement officials claim Snowzilla has become a noisy nuisance to Billy Ray’s neighbors and poses safety hazards to admirers.
The popular giant snowman attracted plenty of sightseers–a favorite for photographers and camera crews from Russia and Japan. It was too big to use buttons for its eyes, so Snowzilla gazes over the neighborhood from beer bottles.
