According to Reuters, the European country of Montenegro has banned access to popular social networking and video sharing websites such as Facebook and YouTube in all state-run establishments.

On Thursday, workers in government offices and the parliament trying to log on to their Facebook accounts during working hours were greeted with an “access denied” message.
Facebook launched Serbian and Croation versions of its site last week.
Montenegro has posted major increase in Internet use in recent years. Now, the Adriatic country of 650,000 has 14,100 Facebook users. YouTube’s popularity has also grown quickly.

California Representative Hilda Solis will be appointed as labor secretary, and labor unions admired President-elect Barack Obama’s selection.
Obama is expected to formally declare his nomination of Solis during a press conference on Friday, according to CNN.
Obama is also expected to name Illinois Rep. Ray LaHood as his pick for secretary of transportation.

MMA fighter Justin Levens and his wife Sarah McLean-Levens have been found shot to death in their Southern California home, authorities said.
The 28-year-old Levens competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and other fighting federations.
Their bodies were found Wednesday afternoon in their Laguna Niguel condominium by the woman’s mother, who then called authorities, according to Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities said the bodies were found dead in a bedroom and a gun was also found at the scene.
