Phil Spector convicted of murdering Lana Clarkson

Legendary music producer Phil Spector was convicted Monday of second-degree murder in the 2003 shooting death of cult-movie star Lana Clarkson. The 69-year-old rock icon faces at least 18 years in prison when he is sentenced May 29.

Porn star Marilyn Chambers found dead

Adult film actress Marilyn Chambers died Sunday at her Los Angeles home. She was 56. The veteran porn star, whose real name was Marilyn Ann Taylor, was found dead by her daughter at her mobile home where she had been living for the past several months.

Phillies sportscaster Harry Kalas dies

Longtime Philadelphia Phillies sportscaster Harry Kalas died on Monday at age 73. Kalas had been the Phillies’ play-by-play announcer since 1971. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2002.

Mel Gibson’s wife files for divorce

Mel Gibson’s wife has filed for divorce from the actor after 28 years of marriage. Robyn Gibson cited “irreconcilable differences” in the papers, which she signed last Thursday. According to TMZ, there is no prenuptial agreement between the couple.
