Huge shark washes up on Long Island beach

A massive but harmless Basking shark washed up on the sands of Long Island’s Gilgo State Park in New York on Tuesday. According to officials, the plankton eater likely died from some kind of illness because there were no outer abrasions on the fish, ruling out of the possibility of a boat strike.
