David Arquette and Courtney Cox Goes on “Trial Separation”
Actor David Arquette and his wife actress Courteney Cox have confirmed that they are undergoing a “trial separation” while trying to work out the reasons of their split. They are currently still married.
“We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply,” said the joint statement from their representatives.
The statement also said that the separation has been ongoing “for some time” already and that the reason for the separation is “to better understand” themselves and what they need in a partner for the sake of their marriage.
Arquette, 39, and Cox, 46, met while filming Scream. They played roles that are romantically linked to each other, roles that they reprised in the next two films and will reprise again on the fourth installation due April next year.
The couple got married in 1999 and they have one daughter, Coco Riley Arquette, who is now 6. Their wedding was marked in the Friends episode entitled The One After Vegas when Cox changed her name to Courteney Cox Arquette. The rest of the cast and the executive producers also added the name Arquette in their names during that episode which was dedicated to the couple.
