Derrick Rose’s Silly Injury
Chicago Bulls rookie Derrick Rose missed Monday’s practice after he needed 10 stitches to close a wound suffered in bed while — slicing an apple.
How silly was that?!
The Bull’s No.1 pick is off to an exceptional start. Rose is averaging 18 points and six assists so far in his rookie year and he’s already become the firm foundation of the Chicago Bulls.
“It was a silly incident,” Rose said. “I was cutting up some food and I laid on a knife getting lazy in bed. I went to go get a bottle of water, came back, forgot the knife was there, then sat down and sliced my arm.”
Athletic trainer Fred Tedeschi drove Rose to Highland Park Hospital shortly after 8 a.m., where doctors closed the wound.
“It was a large wound, but they healed it up,” Rose said. “I’m good. I
could’ve practiced today, but they told me to wait until tomorrow. Most
likely, I’m going to play.”
Rose is expected to play Tuesday night against the New York Knicks at the United Center.
I guess ‘Apple’ was the name of the hooker that he got from downtown Chicago. We know that a lot of people love to bring knives for the mixing of pain and pleasure. The ladies love the danger!
