Disney Supports Demi Lovato’s Decision to Enter Rehab
After the news broke out that a young actress from Disney Channel will be entering rehab for “emotional and physical stress”, the channel issued a statement supporting the decision of one of their famous stars.
“We support Demi’s decision to put her health first and we send her our best wishes,” said a statement from Disney.
Demi Lovato, 18, announced that she will not be continuing with her international tour to concentrate on her medical treatment.
Reports indicate that Lovato may still be reeling from the effects of being bullied. She declared in an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she quit going to middle school and switched to home schooling due to being bullied.
Another report indicates that she had a fight with one of the dancers in her tour while another one says it was because of weight issues.
But according to Lovato’s father, the pressure of Hollywood may be the culprit. “There are a lot of pressures,” Patrick Lovato said. “That is one of the things I worried about when she signed with Disney.”
