Doctor: Bret Michaels Might be Able to Appear on “Apprentice” Finale
Bret Michaels might be up on his feet and ready to continue where he left off by May 23, when “Celebrity Apprentice” holds its live finale. A doctor familiar with Michaels’ condition made the observation as the vocalist of ’80s glam rock band Poison continues to be under observation in the ICU of an undisclosed hospital.
Dr. Ronald Benitez of Overlook Hospital in New Jersey said he would not be surprised if he saw Michaels back on TV in time for the “Apprentice” finale, if ever the 47-year-old rocker makes it as one of the final two contestants. Michaels is one of the last seven contestants remaining on the show. Benitez said Michaels could make a full recovery before the end of May if all tests turn out negative.
Michaels was rushed to a hospital on April 22 after complaining of severe headache. Doctors later discovered that he was bleeding in the base of the brain, a condition called subarachnoid hemorrhage.
