Drink Green Tea to be Cancer Free

A recent research shows that green tea may actually offer protection and reduce the chances of lung cancer for smokers.green-Tea-leaves

The research was conducted by Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan. The procedure involved 340 healthy patients and 170 lung cancer patients drinking at least one cup of green tea daily.

The results indicate that people, smokers and non-smokers, who drink green tea daily, have five times less chances of getting lung cancer. It still indicates though that smoking is still bad for health.

Green tea is made from the leaves of the plant Camellia sinensis. It originated from China and became widespread in Asia from Japan to Middle East. In fact, lung cancer risks are lower in Asia than anywhere else in the planet. It had recently penetrated the western market where black tea is traditionally consumed.

It is also believed to be useful for weight loss management but no research has been able to prove that claim yet.
