El Clasico: Watch Real Madrid vs. FC Barcelona Live Online (Free Live Stream)
Real Madrid vs. FC Barcelona Live Stream: Real Madrid and Barcelona, the two biggest football clubs in the world, go head to head at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the first of four El Clasico matches in the remainder of the season. El Clasico, also known as El derbi Español or El Classic, is the second most watched club football match in the world only succeeded by that of the UEFA Champions League final.
Four days after the game this evening (kick-off 22:00 CET), the arch rivals meet again in the Copa del Rey final. Los Blancos then host Barca in their Champions League semi-final first leg on April 27, followed by the return at Camp Nou on May 3. The Blaugrana have won their last five encounters against Real, representing their best sequence of results against the nine-time European champions.
Pep Guardiola’s men go into the La Liga match with a commanding eight-point lead in the table and with only seven games remaining. Victory for the Catalans will complete a league double over their bitter rivals, who they humiliated 5-0 in November last year. It was the heaviest defeat of Jose Mourinho’s career as a manager and both he and his Galacticos promised they will be out for revenge for that embarrassment.
Cristiano Ronaldo is confident that his team will win one silverware or another at the end of the season. The most expensive player hopes that lack of trophy is about to come to an end, telling Real Madrid TV: “Real Madrid cannot go two years without winning a title. I’m convinced that we are going to win something this season and it’s going to be very important”
Meanwhile, Guardiola has revealed Barca skipper Carles Puyol could feature in tonight’s game. The 33-year-old has not played since January 22 due to a knee problem and his return would be a major boost for the defending champions. Puyol has been passed fit to play against Real and he is part of the 20 players selected for tonight’s clash in the Spanish capital.
UPDATE: Ronaldo’s 81st-minute penalty kick allowed Real to claim a 1-1 stalemate against Barca. The draw keeps the Catalans eight points ahead of Mourinho’s side with six games remaining in the season. You can watch the game highlights HERE.
