Extremist Site Warns “South Park” Creators Over Mohammed Depiction

Matt Stone and Trey Parker have once again riled some sensitive nerves, this time the people behind a pro-jihadist Web site operating in New York City. RevolutionMuslim.com said in a post that Stone and Parker made a “stupid” mistake when they depicted the Prophet Mohammed in a bear suit.

The radical Web site said that the 200th “South Park” episode was an insult to Islam. The warning posted on Sunday warned Stone and Parker of violent attacks similar to the one that led to the death of filmmaker Theo Van Gogh, the great grandson of Dutch master Vincent Van Gogh.

The site warns: “We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”

Van Gogh was shot and killed after making the short film “Submission,” which revealed the violence committed against women in Islamic countries. The post against Parker and Stone also lists the addresses of the South Park creators’ production company and Comedy Central’s, which airs the show.
