Formula One Italian Grand Prix Live Stream

F1 Live Stream: The 2010 Formula One season continues today with the Italian Grand Prix, and for the first time since 2008 there is a Ferrari on the pole position.

Fernando Alonso, a two-time champion who is in his first year with the Maranello-based sports car manufacturer, beat out defending series champion Jenson Button of McLaren, who will start second on the grid. Teammate Lewis Hamilton could only manage fifth while Felipe Massa, also of Ferrari, qualified third. The big loser was Sebastian Vettel who could only qualify sixth, two places behind his Red Bull colleague Mark Webber.

It’s been a long time since Ferrari took pole, and a victory for Alonso could revive his fading title hopes. The Spanish driver is fifth in the standings but is still very much in the title hunt. “I thought we would be second, but today was different,” Alonso told reporters. “It’s a fantastic place to have the pole position in Italy for Ferrari.”

The race starts around at 14:00 CET (8:00 AM ET) at Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

UPDATE: Fernando Alonso of Spain recovered from a poor start to win the Italian Grand Prix and revive his F1 title chances.
