FA Cup: Manchester United vs. Leeds United

Manchester United takes on Leeds United in the Football Association Challenge Cup this afternoon (13:00 UK) and football enthusiasts should not miss this big game at Old Trafford.

These teams meet for the first time in five years and it is expected that around 10,000 Leeds fans will descend on the city for this match. They will be hoping to still have reason to chant at the end of the game, but chances are the Red Devils will win this one without too much difficulty.

It’s the third round of this tournament so both clubs are gunning for a victory to pass directly into the next round.

The FA Cup is the oldest football (soccer) competition in the world. The holders of this competition are Chelsea, who beat Everton in the 2009 final on 30 May 2009.

UPDATE: Striker Jermaine Beckford scored in the 19th minute and the Whites dumped Manchester United out of the FA Cup, condemning the Red Devils to a third-round defeat for the first time in 26 years.
