Fabio Capello to Manage Russia Football Team?

Is England manager Fabio Capello tired of handling the controversies hounding several players in the English national team that he would rather endure the freezing Siberian weather than deal with another John Terry controversy? Reports have come out that the Russian national team is bent on hiring Capello as new manager. Current Russian gaffer Guus Hiddink is set to end his stint with the former Soviet power and will be heading to Turkey starting August.

Russian FA president Sergei Fursenko had reportedly broached the plan to Capello when the two met during the Manchester City-Chelsea Premier League match last Saturday. However, Capello had reportedly declined to discuss the offer and instead asked Fursenko to negotiate with his agent.

Hiddink will handle Russia for the last time when his team plays Hungary in Budapest on Wednesday. Reports said Russia is also considering former Rangers manager Dick Advocaat, Dynamo Kiev’s Valery Gazzaev, and Giovanni Trapattoni of the Republic of Ireland national team.
