Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg Will Guest Star on ‘The Simpsons’?
Rumors abound that the founder of what is probably the most popular social network site today will be lending his voice for his very own character in the long-running animated series The Simpsons.
Mark Zuckerberg, 26, will be appearing in an October episode, which will be in the 22nd season of the series. The episode will be entitled Loan-a-Lisa. The premise is that Zuckerberg will meet Lisa Simpson and Nelson, who is having problems starting his own bike company.
The episode will be airing sometime during the release of the film The Social Network, a film that was based on the early days of Facebook, which Zuckerberg founded in 2004. The Harvard college dropout said that he actually did not like the idea of his life being in a movie while he is still alive. Reports of the film’s script have leaked and it is probable that the film will not put the founder in a positive light.
Facebook have just announced this week that they have already hit the 500 million users mark.
The Simpsons is the longest-running American sitcom, the longest-running American animated program, and in 2009 it surpassed Gunsmoke as the longest running American primetime entertainment series.
