Fan Chaos Cancels Justin Bieber Free Concert in Australia
The pulling power of tween heartthrob Justin Bieber has once again been proven. Security officers in Australia canceled Bieber’s free concert in Sydney after overeager fans tried to storm the stage. Reports said several fans were injured in the commotion.
Eonline reports that around 4,000 fans, mostly teenage girls, camped out near the stage where Bieber was supposed to perform a few songs in the concert sponsored by an Australian morning show. Chaos ensued after news reached the fans that Bieber was already in the venue, forcing the police to call off the show.
Bieber immediately tweeted after hearing about the cancellation, saying “I love my fans….and I am just as disappointed as everyone else with the news from this morning. I want to sing for my fans.” Bieber was eventually allowed to sing his hit song “Baby,” which was enough to appease the disappointed fans. Bieber personally told fans to head home after his performance. He showed his appreciation by tweeting: “I’m beyond grateful…that was incredible. Thank u for such an amazing warm welcome Australia.”
