Former WWE wrestler Andrew ‘Test’ Martin found dead
Andrew James Martin, better known to wrestling fans as ‘Test,’ was found dead Friday night in his apartment in Tampa, Florida. He was 33.
According to SLAM Sports, the former WWE star was found dead in his condo at Harbour Place Drive. A neighbor contacted authorities after observing a motionless Martin through a window over a span of several hours.
There was no indication of foul play, police said.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Born on March 17, 1975 in Whitby, Ontario, Andrew James Robert Patrick Martin won several titles, including the Intercontinental, Hardcore and European singles belts, and WWF and WCW tag team titles.
In July 2004 Martin underwent spinal fusion surgery and was released from his WWE contract a few months later.
February 2007 was Martin’s last appearance for WWE; he was released after failing a drug test. Martin made a few appearances for TNA as “The Punisher” but was never hired under contract.
