German dentist wears revealing outfit to ease patients’ fears
You have dental problems, and it’s a great day, why not go out and see your dentist? Okay, maybe you’re scared of your tooth-yanker, but did you know that a dentist in Germany has come up with an idea on how to ease patients’ fears?
Dr. Marie-Catherine Klarkowski bought herself and her ten staff tight-fitting, low-cut dresses to distract worried patients while they work. The 41-year-old dentist from Munich said: “The most important thing for us is to take away the patients’ fear. The sight of cleavages gets patients narcotised and distracted from the pain rather quickly.”
Klarkowski came up with the idea after watching the way male visitors to the local Oktoberfest enjoyed looking at the traditionally revealing ‘dirndl’ outfits (check out the picture above).
I’m not a big fan of this concept and I don’t believe patients feel less pain. However, the investment really paid off for Klarkowski as she has a third more patients since the change – all of them male.
“I much prefer working in a dirndl, I enjoy looking good at work and it’s a lot more fun since we had the new outfits,” said employee Larisa Hrustic.
