Gigantic pink bunny lying in the Italian Alps

This gigantic pink rabbit lying around the top of the Italian Alps near Cuneo, is the work of Gelitin, a group of four artists, and took five years to knit. The knitted art installation is laid out behind a hill on the mountain to give the impression of it having been knitted “by a giant grandmother”. The designers poetically wrote, “behind a hill, as if knitted by giant grandmothers, lies this vast rabbit, to make you feel as small as a daisy.”

From Gelitin site:

After almost 5 years of knitting the rabbit found its final place in the italian alps (close to Cuneo). It waits there to be visited by you. You might even take your time or check back every now and then as the rabbit will wait for you 20 years from now on

The rabbit is so big that you can see it on google maps: Try it here.
