2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup: USA vs. Haiti

The United States Men’s Soccer Team heads north for their final match of the group stage as they take on Haiti at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The Americans are seeking to clinch first place in Group B with a victory or draw, while Les Grenadiers, who sit tied with Honduras on three points, need a result to ensure passage into the next round.

Freddy Adu and Benny Feilhaber have left the team to join up with their clubs for preseason work, so U.S. coach Bob Bradley will be sure to make some necessary adjustments. Bradley said his team will need to deal with Haiti’s athleticism and unpredictability to earn the required result.

The match kicks-off at 7:00 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: Stuart Holden scored in extra time Saturday to help the USA tie 2-2 with Haiti in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The Americans finished first in Group B and will play El Salvador or the third-place team in Group C on Saturday in Philadelphia.
