Gwyneth Paltrow to Release a Country Single

Gwyneth_PaltrowAcademy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow will be releasing a country single as a part of her upcoming film.

The winner of the 1998 Oscar Best Actress Award (for Shakespeare in Love) will see the song released by October 26 via RCA Nashville.

The song Country Strong shares it name with the upcoming film. Paltrow will be playing a country singer who had seen better days and is trying to make a comeback. Her co-stars include real life country icon Tim McGraw and Leighton Meester, who is also a singer. The film hits theaters December 22.

Paltrow plays a fallen country star aiming to make a comeback, which means, she will be singing country songs.

This is not the first venture of the actress into singing. She recorded Cruisin’ for the 2000 film Duets. That rendition reached the number 1 spot in the US Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.

Should Taylor Swift watch out for Paltrow?
