Halle Berry Stalker Charged with Felony
A man that had been allegedly stalking Halle Berry since Saturday was charged on Wednesday, two days after he was arrested near the “Monster’s Ball” actress’s home in Hollywood Hills.
Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office officials said Richard Anthony Franco was arrested on Monday and was to be formally charged of felony stalking on Wednesday. The 27-year-old Franco was arrested after some Hollywood Hills residents who noticed him near Berry’s home called police and reported a possible burglary attempt.
In a court filing for a temporary restraining order, the 44-year-old Berry said that the suspect had traumatized her in the past several days by entering her property on several occasions. “This person has invaded and trampled upon the most fundamental sense of security I have … I am extremely frightened,” she said, according to the Los Angeles Times. “He has terrorized me and my family.” Franco, who is on probation for a misdemeanor battery charge, faces up to three years in jail for his latest act.
