Heidi Klum No Longer an Angel
Supermodel and reality television show host Heidi Klum said that she will no longer be participating as a Victoria’s Secret Angel in the lingerie chain’s annual fashion show this coming November.
Klum, 37, has been with Victoria for 13 years since 1997. She became a brand spokeswoman, or an “angel” in 1999.
“Heidi will always be an Angel,” said Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Limited Brands, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret.
The reason for Klum leaving was not divulged.
Former models who became angels too include Tyra Banks and Gisele Bundchen. There are now only five current angels, namely Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Marissa Miller, Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes.
“All good things have to come to an end. I will always love Victoria’s Secret. It has been an absolutely amazing time”, Klum told the New York Post upon the announcement of her leaving the lingerie clothesline.
Klum will be focusing her attention to her show Project Runway.
