Holiday Bowl 2009: Arizona Wildcats vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers

Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET, the 22nd-ranked Arizona Wildcats will collide with the 20th-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 32nd edition of the Holiday Bowl.

The question is: Can the Wildcats (8-4) offensive line handle the Cornhuskers (9-4) defensive front? The exploits of Nebraska’s Ndamukong Suh are well known. But Arizona’s offense must also account for the man lining up next to him, Jared Crick, as they try to protect quarterback Nick Foles.

The Holiday Bowl, known for its offense and high-scoring games, is a post-season NCAA-sanctioned Division I-A college football match that has been played annually at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego since the late 1970s.

Steve Young, Ty Detmer, Barry Sanders, Jeremiah Masoli, are among the famous players who have flared up the HB scoreboard.

UPDATE: Nebraska’s defense dominated the game Wednesday night and the Huskers beat the Wildcats 33-0, the first shutout in the 32-year history of the Holiday Bowl.
