Hulk Hogan Sues Ex-Wife For Defamation

Looks like Hulk Hogan and ex-wife Linda are set for another court battle following their messy divorce.

Reports said Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, has filed a defamation case against his former wife for allegedly saying in her new book that the former wrestling star abused her during their marriage, which eventually ended in a messy and expensive divorce. According to the St. Petersburg Times, Hogan filed the civil suit on Thursday. Hogan said in his suit that his ex-wife defamed him in her book “Wrestling the Hulk — My Life Against the Ropes,” which was published this year.

Linda Hogan reportedly said in the autobiographical book that Hulk Hogan physically hurt her many times during their marriage. Aside from physical abuse, Linda accused her former husband of having an affair with another male wrestler, the suit said. Hulk Hogan said that Linda’s unfounded allegations harmed his reputation. “He’s being accused of all sorts of vile conduct that he did not commit,” Hogan’s attorney, Will Florin, said.

The suit comes less than a month since it was reported that Linda won 70 percent of the former couple’s assets in the divorce settlement.
