I Spy Actor Robert Culp Dead at 79
The star of the 1960’s show I Spy died Wednesday, March 24, after a fall while walking outside his home.
Robert Culp was rushed to the Queen of Angels Hospitals around 11 AM PDT. He was found by a jogger who contacted 911. He later died at the hospital. Foul play is not being considered but an autopsy will be conducted. He was 79.
Culp was featured in I Spy from 1965-1968 where he played as secret agent Kelly Robinson. His partner in the show is Bill Cosby.
His latest works include playing the father-in-law of the character Raymond Barone (played by Ray Romano) in the television series Everybody Loves Raymond and playing the US President in the 1994 murder mystery film The Pelican Brief starring Denzel Washington and Julia Roberts. He was also the voice behind Doctor Breen, the prime antagonist in the 2004 computer game Half-Life 2.
Culp was married five times and had three sons and two daughters.
