Special agent Jack Bauer isn’t retiring any time soon. Variety is reporting that Billy Ray (Hart’s War, State of Play) has been hired to write the 24 movie.

The project is still in the preliminary stages but according to the report, the story will bring Jack to Europe. The show’s executive producers, including Kiefer Sutherland, would also produce the film if it’s made.

24 is in its eighth season, but if Fox decides not to arrange a ninth season, and the show then goes to another network, the film would be delayed.

I’m just wondering…will the movie be 24 hours long?
