Japan creates beer on International Space Station

Japanese brewer Sapporo has successfully produced a new beer made from barley grown in space and they will be selling the product online for just 10,000 yen (about $110) per six-pack.

So what’s so special about this so-called space beer?

According to Japan Times, the barley was grown on the International Space Station as part of a five-month joint experiment by Sapporo, the Russian Academy of Science and Okayama University. The research revealed fine products can be grown in space.
