Jennifer Lopez Gets Huge Pay Raise for “Idol” Return

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly getting a fatter pay check for agreeing to return for another season as one of the three judges on “American Idol.”

According to The Wrap, J. Lo will receive just over $20 million for her second season as “Idol” judge, a significant raise from the reported $12 million she got for Season 10. “Idol” producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed on Wednesday that the four main cast of the show—judges J. Lo, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, and host Ryan Seacrest—will all be coming back for another season. “I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol is back for the next season,” Lythgoe said.

Lopez’s decision had been closely watched by Hollywood observers and “Idol” fans alike after the singer said earlier this year that she was not sure about returning for Season 11. “Idol” network Fox or a rep for J. Lo has yet to issue an official statement.
