Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was attacked by an irate fan. ESPN reports that Clausen was punched in the face outside of a South Bend restaurant early Sunday morning.

The report claims that a fan attacked the 22-year-old after he had dinner with his parents and left him with a swollen eye. The fan allegedly said something to Jimmy and/or a female acquaintance.

The alleged attack took place hours after the Fighting Irish lost an overtime game to Connecticut.

There is no police report to confirm any details.
