Judges save Casey Abrams on ‘Idol’ (VIDEO)

Casey Abrams Saved

Casey Abrams, the full-bearded bass player from Idyllwild, California, was almost voted off “American Idol” last night (March 24). Casey had the lowest number of votes but the judges decided to save him in the middle of his last-chance performance of Ray Charles’ “I Don’t Need No Doctor.” Joining the 20-year-old finalist in the bottom three were Thia Megia and Stefano Langone.

Earlier in the show Stevie Wonder made a surprise appearance on “Idol” to perform “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” with the kids — and sing “Happy Birthday” to Steven Tyler. Country music duo Sugarland performed as well, but it’s hard to remember some things after watching Hulk Hogan rip off his shirt.

Yeah, it was a roller coaster of a night but the good thing is nobody went home. However, next week two contestants will be sent packing in a double eviction episode.
