Justin Bieber to Guest Star in ‘CSI’
Teenage girls pay attention! The current heartthrob from Canada, 16-year-old Justin Bieber, will be making a guest appearance in the long-running television series CSI and probably in more than one episode.
The announcement came from CBS network itself Thursday, July 22.
Bieber will be playing the role of Jason McCann, a troubled teenager who will need to make a decision regarding his only brother. His first appearance will be in the eleventh season premiere on September 23, 2010. His story will immediately begin a story arc that will conclude sometime during the season. So that means, the singer of the hit song Baby will be back for more episodes.
The young singer is not the first music artist to grace the show. Last year, multi-platinum, Grammy Award winner and teen sensation Taylor Swift made a guest appearance (March 2009) portraying the role of Haley Jones, a member of a family who owns a Las Vegas motel.
Here is the official statement from the network regarding Bieber’s guest appearance in the show: ”Every 20 years, a phenomenon like Justin Bieber graces our world. We’d like to believe that the phenomenon of CSI has had the same impact on popular culture. The opportunity to bring them together in the premiere is a great treat for our audience and all of its new viewers. This will be true event television. We’re looking forward to Justin’s dramatic star turn, not only in the premiere, but in a continuing seasonal arc.”
