Kanye West apologizes on ‘Jay Leno Show’ (video)

A remorseful Kanye West appeared on “The Jay Leno Show” on Monday night delivering another public apology to Taylor Swift, following his onstage outburst at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Dressed in all black, the 32-year-old rapper expressed regret for interrupting Taylor’s acceptance speech at Sunday’s ceremony, and said “it was rude.”

Asked what his late mother would think about what he said to the 19-year-old country singer, Kanye was close to tears.

“I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that’s something I have to deal with.”

Prior to his appearance on the program, Kanye had posted two apologies on his website. The first, in which he also tried to explain his actions, was removed and replaced with a more concise apology.
