Kim Kardashian Seeks Divorce from Kris Humphries

Let the chants of “I told you so” begin.

Reality star Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries just over two months since they tied the knot in a lavish and much-hyped wedding. Reuters and other media outlets said that Kardashian filed court papers at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.

Ryan Seacrest, who is an executive producer on the reality show featuring Kardashian’s family, said the reports are true. “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins,” Seacrest said in a tweet.

The divorce filing comes just 72 days since Kardashian and Humphries were married on August 20. The $10-million wedding was hyped by the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star for months with constant update via social media. The wedding followed a whirlwind romance that saw the soon-to-be ex-couples date for only nine months.

Kardashian reportedly wants the court to consider earnings, among others, before and after the marriage as separate properties. Kardashian and Humphries, who plays for the New Jersey Nets, had a prenuptial agreement, reports said.
