Kobe Bryant’s 3-point shot at buzzer lifts Lakers past Heat (video)
The Los Angeles Lakers needed a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Kobe Bryant to beat the Miami Heat, 108-107 on Friday night. It was the Lakers’ eighth straight victory this season, keeping them atop the overall NBA standings.
With LA down by two and 3.2 seconds left on the clock, Ron Artest in-bounded the ball to Bryant, who dribbled left before launching a desperate three-point attempt—over Dwyane Wade—sending Miami to its eighth loss in 12 games.
Kobe finished with 33 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Pau Gasol notched 22 points and eight rebounds and Andrew Bynum added 19 and eight for last season’s champions.
Miami was led by Wade, who had 26 points.
