Kobe Bryant joins 25,000 career points club
Kobe Bryant became the 15th NBA player to achieve the 25,000 career points and the youngest in NBA history to do so. He is 31 years and 151 days old Thursday, January 21.
The L.A. Lakers superstar reached the milestone of his career after making a free throw in the second quarter of their game against Cleveland Cavaliers. He surpassed Wilt Chamberlain (31 years 186 days) as the youngest player to reach the plateau and joining 14 other NBA’s greatest like Jerry West, Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
On February 2009, Bryant became the youngest player in NBA history to score 23,000 career points as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 105-98.
In another record setting news, Bryant topped the NBA Jersey sales for two consecutive years based on sales at the NBA Store in New York City and NBAStore.com
