Twilight star Kristen Stewart shows off her new jet black mullet as she heads to a studio in North Hollywood on Thursday (June 11).

The 19-year-old had cut her hair for her role as Joan Jett in the new biopic about the ’70s all-girl rock band The Runaways.

The group is best known for the songs Cherry Bomb, Queens of Noise, Neon Angels and Born to Be Bad.

    its nice hair cut, it still look sexy to her. Hope it will grow before the time of new moon and eclipse movie, but there is a lot of way now to make it grow fast including extension hair, but she still look gorgeous…

    This enitire story seems like a fake setup…I just saw a video relesed and pictures of her from the movie new moon…and her hair was the same as always….what did you do, take peices of her and put together one ugly picture of her!!!

    I love it! I have totally had that cut… a few months ago really. It rocks! I am totally about bringing the dirty 70s back.

    hmmmmm, She is really beautiful and I've always thought that but….. hmmmm The haircout isn't that bad…. you know the problem here? that make up….. look at her faceits not pretty but the haircut it's good…. I would wish that people leaver her alone its not big deal!!!! it's for a part in a movie!!!!! and she looks exactly the way she should for that role, have u seen a Joan Jett picture? Just like her…. so please people don't be mean!!! she is a really good person and a gorgeous girl and just because she has the luck to be with Rob girls all over the world hate her, I just think she is right for him they are like soulmates, if they weren't I myself wouldn't accept her buuut they are perfect 4 each other and I think in looove sooo stop wishing the things u dont have….. I love ROb IM A CRAZY FAN OF HIM I WOULD KILL 4 JUST SEE HIM IN PERSON!!!!!!     I think she looks pretty cool. However, I love her hair longer (as it is in Twilight). I understand this cut is for a film role though. Kristen seems like a cool person, but I doubt she'd wear her hair like this if she didn't have to for the role of Joan Jett.

    I think she looks beautiful. It will grow out before New Moon. She is a beautiful girl and even a Joan Jett crop hair cut looks amazing on her. If anybody could pull it off it's Kristen and she looks great.

    First of all, she's already filmed “New Moon”; filming wrapped up in May of this year. She's scheduled to start filming “Eclipse” this August, 2009. And no, her hair won't “grow out” by August, that's less than two months. I'm still not sure if what she has now is a wig or not. It doesn't really matter because if it has been cut and dyed black, it can be dyed back to her nice auburn shade and she'll have hair extensions put back in. She actually wore hair extensions in both Twilight and New Moon so she'll look the same in Eclipse. She'll be fine to film “Eclipse” everyone, don't worry!

    First off, it is not a mullet, it is a shag…totally different decade.
    Secondly, it will grow out people & color can be changed…this is how she makes her money.
    Not to mention, I think the cut rocks on her & JJ.
