La Liga: Real Madrid vs. Sevilla

Real Madrid’s remarkable record will be put to the test when the Spanish giants take on Sevilla tonight at the Estadio Pizjuán.

The Rojiblancos lost their opening fixture in La Liga but have since went on to win the other 6 games.

There were conflicting reports on Cristiano Ronaldo’s condition coming into this match. Some say he was already ruled out, while others claim the 24-year-old winger is fit to play.

Ronaldo picked up an ankle injury in Real’s 3-0 win over Marseille in the Champions League in midweek having scored twice in the game.

The Portuguese superstar, who joined Los Blancos from Manchester United over the summer, has scored in all but one game for his new side, contributing nine goals in seven matches.

But don’t worry Madrid fans, even if CR9 doesn’t play, the club has sufficient alternatives—including Kaka.

The match kicks-off at 9:00 p.m. CET (3:00 p.m. ET).

UPDATE: Real Madrid’s perfect start to the season came to an end as Sevilla claimed a 2-1 victory at home field. Ronaldo’s absence was keenly felt as Los Blancos offered little in attack. The outcome leaves Barca at the top of La Liga table, with Real and Sevilla sharing second spot.
