La Liga: Real Madrid vs. Real Valladolid

Real Madrid will face Real Valladolid at the Bernabeu for tonight’s La Liga clash.

Los Blancos currently sit second in the league table but are aiming to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season two weeks ago.

Cristiano Ronaldo is recovering from an ankle injury he acquired in Portugal’s 3-0 victory over Hungary on Saturday, but Real will not rush him back into action, coach Manuel Pellegrini said at a press conference yesterday.

According to Pellegrini, Ronaldo will miss tonight’s game and the next four weeks for the club. But don’t worry Madrid fans because Xabi Alonso, Gonzalo Higuain and Kaka are fully fit to play. Lassana Diarra and Alvaro Arbeloa are also available after missing the Sevilla game with injuries.

Meanwhile Raul will be presented with a memento for his 710th appearance for Los Blancos tonight. Club president Florentino Perez and director Jorge Valdano will present the 32-year-old striker with a trophy before tonight’s game.

The Match kicks-off at 8:00 p.m. CET (2:00 p.m. ET).

UPDATE: Raul scored two goals as Real Madrid beat Valladolid Saturday night at the Bernabeu. It was a great win for Los Blancos, who had no Ronaldo and played most of the game without Kaka.
