La Liga: Real Madrid vs. Athletic Bilbao

Real Madrid takes on Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames this evening (20:00 CET), where the club from the Spanish capital hasn’t lost since 2004.

Los Blancos are still two points behind Barcelona and will be keen to keep up the pressure. However, they have been hit by injuries lately and will be without leading scorer Gonzalo Higuain and midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.

Last weekend the Spanish giants easily handled Mallorca at home, but Higuain got injured. The good news is Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka are back in the game, and their support up front is badly needed.

UPDATE: Los Blancos slumped to their third defeat of the season losing 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao at San Mames Stadium. Striker Fernando Llorente headed the decisive goal after just two minutes into game.
