Lady Gaga Wants Marisa Tomei to Play Her in Film
If a movie was made about her life, Lady Gaga says she would choose Marisa Tomei to bring her to life on the big screen.
Gaga revealed her preference for Tomei, who, like the singer, has Italian blood, during an interview on SiriusXM’s “The Morning Mash Up.”Oh, you know what? I would have Marisa Tomei play me. I am such a Marisa Tomei fan,” Gaga said. “All my friends call me Marisa when I get angry, because my New York accent just flies out of my body and I start smacking my gum.” The 46-year-old Tomei, who won an Academy Award Supporting Actress trophy for 1992’s “My Cousin Vinny,” also lives in New York just like Gaga.
The Grammy winning singer also said that she may give acting a try in the future. “I think at some point, yes,” she replied when asked if she plans to conquer the silver screen. “I think I’m sort of destined for that screen at some point.”
