Lakers Win 2010 NBA Finals!

Lakers: 2010 NBA Champions

The Los Angeles Lakers became BACK-TO-BACK NBA Champions as they defeated the Boston Celtics 83-79 in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals at STAPLES Center on Thursday.  It’s the Lakers’ 16th NBA Championship, Phil Jackson’s 11th championship as a coach and Kobe Bryant’s 5th championship ring.

Kobe Bryant and the rest of the Lakers struggled in the first-half of the game but managed to overtake the Celtics in the 4th quarter with over 6 minutes remaining on the clock. The Lakers shot poorly from the field but dominated the boards to score many second chance points.

Bryant was announced as the 2010 NBA finals MVP with a finals average of over 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

Congratulations to the Lakers for winning and to the Celtics for putting up a very good fight!
