Latest Bond Girl started out as ‘Santa’s Wife’

Any chick who gets cast as a Bond girl is worthy of praise. We know that Bond, James Bond only goes for the exotic hotties, and Olga Kurylenko is certainly one of them.

But this Ukrainian model-turned-actress, who charms 007 in Quantum of Solace started out from a humble childhood. She began acting by playing Santa Claus’ young wife in a school play in her Ukrainian hometown.

Teachers remember this 28-year-old brunette for the willpower, drive and luck that turned her into a Bond Girl.

“She was such a talented girl,” said her hometown piano teacher, Halina Kulchitska. “Even if she hadn’t become James Bond’s girl, she still would have gotten some big role.”

At 16, she was spotted by a model scout in the subway in Moscow, where she was on vacation. She moved to Paris to work in a modeling agency and began a career as an actress.

Olga may be new on the American movie scene, but she’s made a stunning first impression. Jumping into Hollywood on the arms of big shots like Timothy Olyphant and Daniel Craig is nothing to sneeze at, and it seems like Olga isn’t about to stop there. She’s taking on another ass-kicking role in the upcoming 2009 film Kirot.
