LeBron James is Youngest-Ever to Reach 15,000 Points
Now, LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers has some proof that he may be better than Kobe Bryant—at least in terms of who scored 15,000 points the fastest. James scored 29 points in the Cavaliers’ 92-85 victory against the Chicago Bulls on Friday to become the youngest player in NBA history to reach the 15,000-point plateau at the age of 25 years and 79 days.
James erased Bryant’s record of 27 years and 136 days with a pair of free thrown in the first quarter. He now has 15,026 points in his seven-year NBA career. James and Bryant are considered the two of the league’s best players. However, James’ failure to bring an NBA title to Cleveland has kept him in the shadow of Bryant, who wears four championship rings.
James won Rookie of the Year in 2003 and was named league Most Valuable Player last year, when Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers to their 16th title.
