Leno, Fallon, Maher take hits at Letterman scandal (video)
Dave has spent years mocking the sleazy details of celebrities’ private lives, but the tables were turned Friday as the comedian himself became the topic for late night TV.
On his prime time show, Jay Leno joked about the $2 million sexual extortion plot against Letterman.
“If you came here tonight for sex with a talk show host, you’ve got the wrong studio,” said Leno. “I’m so glad I’m out of late night.”
Jimmy Fallon also didn’t waste any time taking advantage of the controversy. In his late night program he joked: “There’s a new book out called Why Women Have Sex that says there are 237 reasons why women have sex. And folks, Letterman knows the top 10.”
And on “Real Time with Bill Maher”, Maher said, “I’ve never had sex with members of my staff — the guests, yes, of course, but not the staff.” He also said, “Hey, next to Roman Polanski and Mackenzie Phillips’ dad, I think Dave looks pretty good.”
