Leona Lewis: I Want to Open Animal Sanctuary
Leona Lewis said that she wants to open her own sanctuary to care for animals.
Singer and animal lover, Leona Lewis is backing the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) call for a universal declaration for animal welfare.
Lewis said: ”One reason animals are so vulnerable to cruelty is because there is no universal agreement between nations that animals can suffer and feel pain.”
”The campaign for a universal declaration on animal welfare could be the beginning of the end for animal cruelty across the world.”
”It’s up to us to give these animals a voice, and put a stop to cruelty and neglect, right now.”
24 year-old Lewis, who was joined by her family dog named Misty for the campaign of the WSPA, added that doing something to help and protect the animals is part of her game plan in the future.
She said: ”I would love to open up my own sanctuary, which would be amazing.”
