Lil Wayne performs with Kid Rock at CMA Awards
The best rapper alive goes country and joins Kid Rock at the Country Music Awards.
Kid Rock brought Lil Wayne on stage as he performed his hit “All Summer Long.” But Lil Wayne didn’t rap: In fact, the best-selling rapper didn’t say a word. He just acted as part of the band, bringing out his guitar and strumming the strings silently alongside Kid Rock’s real guitarist.
You didn’t even see Wayne until somewhere around the song’s two-minute mark, when Kid came over and gave him five. Both performers wore Tennessee Titans jerseys.
Big winners included Kenny Chesney, George Strait and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland.
The show was hosted by Carrie Underwood (who won Female Vocalist of the Year for the third consecutive time) and Brad Paisley. Taylor Swift performed her hit “Love Story.”
I respect Lil Wayne as a rapper. He’s prolific. But he was so sick pretending to play guitar!
