Lindsay Lohan Loses, Gains “Gotti” Role
Lindsay Lohan has lost, and gained a role in the upcoming film about the Gotti family in a span of hours.
Early Wednesday, Fiore Films confirmed that Lohan was no longer being considered for the role of Victoria Gotti, the daughter of mob boss John Gotti, in the upcoming “Gotti: Three Generations.” A Fiore Films spokesperson was quoted by Access Hollywood as saying that negotiations “have been broken” between the actress and the company.
However, Fiore Films came out with another statement later in the day announcing that Lohan is, after all, joining the project, which will see John Travolta play Gambino crime family boss John Gotti. This time, though, Lohan would be playing Kim Gotti, the wife of John Jr. “She has been very enthusiastic about the Gotti project, and after resuming discussions with her, we were impressed by her commitment to the film and felt she would be a perfect Kim Gotti,” Fiore Films CEO Marc Fiore said.
The Gotti biopic is scheduled for a 2013 release, but Fiore Films has yet to choose the film’s director after initial choice Nick Cassavetes pulled out due to scheduling conflict.
