Lindsay Lohan May Be Blacklisted in India
For lying and tweeting about rescuing child workers, Lindsay Lohan could soon be prohibited from setting foot on Indian soil. A report by the Telegraph said Indian officials might include Lohan in the country’s foreign blacklist after she violated India’s visa rules by working on a BBC documentary in December despite holding a tourist visa.
Lohan’s violation was noticed only after she lied on Twitter about rescuing children working in a sweatshop.
“Over 40 children saved so far … Within one day’s work … This is what life is about … Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!”
However, it turned out that the raids had already been done even before Lohan arrived in India. Activists who were involved in the raids found out about Lohan’s tweet, and later told government officials about the actress’ comments. Officials subsequently discovered that Lohan shouldn’t have been working at all while in the country, much more lie about being involved in the government’s fight against child trafficking.
