Lindsay Lohan Posts $300,000 Bail

Lindsay Lohan‘s latest jail stint ended quickly on Friday after she was allowed to post a $300,000 bail several hours after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox sent the troubled actress to prison for failing a mandated drug test.

Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, immediately appealed Fox’s decision and received a favorable ruling from LA criminal courts Assistant Supervising Judge Patricia Schnegg, who allowed the actress to post the bail because her conviction was merely for misdemeanors. Earlier on Friday, Fox sentenced Lohan to a month in jail without bail.

As part of the condition for her release, Lohan is required to wear an ankle alcohol monitor. She is also prohibited from going near establishments that sell mostly liquors. Lohan is scheduled to appear before Fox on October 22, when the judge will formally decide what punishment should be imposed on the 24-year-old “Mean Girls” star for failing the drug test.
